A Simple Dream

And a whole lot of passion.

Named After
Our Mother

At Licha’s, our journey began with a simple dream and a lot of passion. We started selling delicious homemade food out of our house, dreaming of the day we could take our flavors on the road with a food truck. Through hard work and determination, we made that dream a reality.

But we didn’t stop there. With the support of our incredible mother, Licha, we opened our very own restaurant. Every dish we serve is a tribute to our roots and the love that went into building this place.

How We Got Here

Three Kitchens,
One Recipe Book

01

Out of Our House

Before there was a sign or a dining room, there were plates going out our front door. Neighbors, friends, word of mouth. The recipes were already the ones we use today — they just came out of a home kitchen instead of this one.

02

On the Road

The dream was a food truck, and we worked until we had one. That truck is where a lot of people met us for the first time — and where we learned to cook fast without cutting a single corner.

03

Our Own Doors

With our mother Licha behind us, we opened a restaurant of our own. Same hands, same recipes, same green chili — just finally with somewhere for you to sit down.

The Woman on the Sign

Meet Licha

The name on the building belongs to our mother. She’s the reason this place exists — the support behind every step of it, and the source of nearly everything on the menu.

The chalkboard in her kitchen says it better than we could: Mexican food, with love. That’s not a slogan we came up with for a website. It’s just what she’s always written up there.

What Hasn’t Changed

Still Made By Hand

The building got bigger. The way we cook didn’t change at all.

Hand-wrapped tamales in corn husks

Wrapped One at a Time

Every tamale that leaves this kitchen was folded by somebody’s hands in the back. There’s no machine that does this part.

A plate smothered in homemade green chili

Chili Made Fresh

The pork green chili is made in house. It’s the thing most people order everything smothered in, and it’s the family recipe.

Cooked to Order

Nothing sits under a lamp waiting for you. It goes on the flat-top when you order it and comes out when it’s ready.
